Sorry I’ve been away for so long. But please don’t be too angry; you haven’t missed anything! Nothing very interesting has been happening in my life since the last time we talked. I’ve just been running, biking, and spending a lot of time on Instagram.
But I’ve returned because things are about to get awesome.
Last week, I purchased a plane ticket to New Delhi, India.
I’ll be on the subcontinent for three weeks: After flying into Delhi and meeting my traveling partner, we’ll travel to Goa to spend about a week there, then head south and east to look for elephants. After that, things are kind of up in the air.
It’s pretty much going to be incredible. It’s also exciting to think that I’m actually getting to do #3 from my list of trips I think would be awesome!
What I want to do and see in India:
- Hang out with elephants.
- Travel somewhere by train.
- See the Barabar Caves, E. M. Forster’s model for the Marabar Caves in A Passage to India.
- Learn to like curry.
- Take a least one photograph I would want to hang on my wall.
I’ll need a visa for India, and probably a few vaccinations. I’ll most likely be packing for my trip in my awesome Osprey Kestrel 48L. As you all know, planning to pack and actually packing are some travel activities that are more exciting for me than they probably should be.
Countdown: 3 months to go.
