Wednesday Instagram
Over the weekend, I surpassed the 100 followers mark on Instagram, and more exciting than the raw number itself is the idea that I am participating in one of the neatest social network communities I have ever seen. I posted this photo last night with a comment to that effect:
I have been thinking about my feed — should I attempt to be more consistent? Should I strive for a feed that, when glanced at as a whole, shows obviously connected photographs with a distinct style and coherent editing? I know as an Instagram viewer, I am much more likely to follow a user if I feel like I know what I can expect from that person’s feed. And that often comes with this kind of consistency. Of course I don’t want to lose myself in trying to provide what I think other people want to see, but I think Instagram could be a way for me to discover my “style” — however much there is of it — and practice refining it to present myself as a visual artist, something I never thought I would be.
In short, I still think Instagram is a fantastic outlet, and the possibilities are endless if you are apt to learn, experiment, and see what happens.

It’s definitely important to post what you want to post.
If you start succumbing to what you think others will like and remain true to yourself, blogging might feel like a chore.
What an awesome shot – love it!
Thank you so much!
I to use instagram, it’s a great way to other peoples style and vision. I like to shoot everything, portraits , weddings etc. I believe it will help refine my skills. I know I’m not consistent, I don’t want to be predictable lol Great shot!!
Thank you, garza34! I think you have a good philosophy!
